My Latest Work
World War 2 Soldiers
A colleague of mine asked me if I wanted to make a figurine of a German World War II soldier. His son is a huge fan of military and war gear, and a big collector. That's why I'm really looking forward to this project. I wanted to create a super cool figurine for his collection.
But I was also nervous. Because I'd never painted a realistic human face before. And I also knew that painting eyes wasn't my strong suit. But if you don't try, you'll never learn. And I must say, I was surprised and proud of how well it turned out! Not just the soldier's face. But the entire statue.
I'm incredibly proud of what I've accomplished. My colleague and his son were also impressed and very happy with it.
The total height of the statue is 20 cm.
It took about 28 hours to print the statue.
And it took me about 2 to 3 weeks to paint it and make the base. Besides my own work, of course.
